Echeveria peacockii, native to Mexico, forms a symmetrical, dense rosette of lanceolate silvery blue leaves tipped with rose. Orange flowers are small, bell-shaped and on gracefully arching racemes.

Also known as Echeveria 'Desmetiana' in Europe, where it is used as a "carpet plant" or groundcover.

In habitat, many Echeverias grow on rocky outcroppings at higher altitudes. In this habitat, the water drains quickly away from the roots of the plant, never allowing the plant to remain waterlogged.
